Private promoters holding in the domestic capital market declined to an eight-year low of 40.58 per cent during the quarter ended June 30, down from 40.81 per cent as on March 31, 2025. In the April-June 2025 quarter, promoters sold Rs 54,732 crore worth of their holding on a net basis. In rupee value terms, private promoter holding stood at Rs 184.61 lakh crore as on June 30, 2025, according to a report by PRIME Database Group.
