Two persons succumbed to dengue fever in Ernakulam over the past three weeks.The district has recorded a total of over 670 suspected and confirmed cases since July 15, 2025. Those who succumbed to the disease include a 67-year-old man from Cheranelloor and a 56-year-old man from Nellikuzhi, according to the Health department statistics. The executive order issued by US President Donald Trump to impose 25 per cent additional tariffs on goods from India includes a warning of sorts for other countries importing oil from Russia—the risk of attracting 25 per cent additional tariffs from the US.
