Flash floods hit Eustis and Boca Raton as 15–18 inches of rain fell in eastern Lake County, Florida, under a Sunday evening flood warning.
With Florida’s Lake County under a flash flood warning Sunday evening, Eustis and Boca Raton were hit by massive flooding, as between 15 to 18 inches of rain fell in eastern Lake County in central Florida.
The NWS said that while nearly 18 inches of rainfall has already taken place, two to three inches more rainfall is expected. A flash flood emergency was issued for Eustis and Mount Dora, while Boca Raton was marked as a highly dangerous area.

Tornado Warning Issued For Brevard County
Florida is bracing for severe weather as Hurricane Melissa made landfall in the Caribbean earlier on Sunday. Along with risks of flooding, there is the possibility of tornadoes, as well. A warning was issued on Sunday in Florida’s Brevard County on Sunday afternoon.
However, the warning expired with no major damage noted in Brevard County. As of now, there is no tornado warning in Florida even as the state braces for more rains later on Sunday.

Titusville FD Reports Surge In Waterlogging Calls
The Titusville Fire Department in Brevard County, Florida, reported receiving a significant volume of calls over water intruding into homes, and in some cases, and even life-threatening emergencies.
The department said in a message on social media: “We have several reports of water intruding into homes and cars that are stranded. Please understand that calls are being triaged so that we handle life threatening emergencies first. Several people are dealing with water intrusion.
“Please be patient. Additional resources are being requested. Again please stay off the roadways!”
