Confirming the death, Rohtak Superintendent of Police, Surinder Singh Bhoria, told media persons that ASI Sandeep was found dead and a forensic team was called to the spot. He described the deceased as “hard working” and “honest”, adding that he was like a “family member”.
An alleged note, along with a six-minute video, left behind by the deceased has made serious corruption allegations against the deceased IPS Puran Kumar and his family.
On the “note” and six-minute video of the deceased policemen doing rounds on the social media, Mr. Bhoria said “it is a matter of investigation”.
In the four-page note, Sandeep, a resident of Jind’s Julana, said that freedom fighter Bhagat Singh was his ideal and he was making the first “sacrifice” in the fight for justice and truth. He alleged that the late IPS officer sought to avoid arrest in a corruption case and had attempted to give his death a caste and political colour in his suicide note.
Some IAS officers in Haryana were indulged in large-scale corruption, but a few honest officers during Bharatiya Janata Party regime had managed to curb it to a large extent, he claimed, in the handwritten note.
Referring to late IPS, Sandeep said the fact that his wife was an IAS officer, his brother-in-law was an MLA and his family members were in the Scheduled Caste Commission, probably gave Mr. Kumar the strength to indulge in corruption. He also referred to the case against late IPS officer’s gunman Sushil Kumar, who has been accused of extorting money from a liquor trader.
Suporting the former Rohtak SP, Narendra Bijarniya, who has been transferred out after his name came up in the late IPS Officer’s death, Sandeep, in the note, said that he was an honest officer who lived by his salary.
