BTS member V, aka Kim Taehyung, has invested in a new luxury home in the Cheongdam-dong area of Seoul, South Korea. The property is located in an ultra-high-end residential complex in the city. According to Sportschosun.com, a certified copy of the real estate register shows that V purchased the property on September 17. This development comes just a few months after the singer was discharged from his mandatory military service.

As per the report, the house spans an area of 273.96㎡ and is priced at 14.2 billion won (Rs 89.8 crore). The home consists of five rooms and three bedrooms. However, what caught everyone’s attention was that, according to the report, V presumably paid for the property entirely in cash without a mortgage loan, as there was “no establishment of a collateral security right on the register.”
It was further revealed that the pop sensation signed the papers in May, a month before his military discharge, and officially received ownership in September after completing the remaining payment.
The report also states that the ultra-high-end complex can accommodate a total of 29 households, spanning from the 6th basement floor to the 20th floor. It also mentions that V will be the neighbour of other South Korean celebrities such as actors Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young, professional golfer Park In-bee, and star instructor Hyun Woo-jin, who already reside in the complex.
This isn’t the first time the singer has invested in luxurious property. According to reports, he bought an apartment worth around $4.5 million in 2018.
V is a member of the globally famous boy band BTS. The other members of the band include Namjoon, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook. The band took a temporary break of nearly three years from touring and making music due to their mandatory military service. They are now gearing up for their first album in four years. Work on the album began in July in the USA, and it is likely to release in spring next year.
