Indian selectors led by Ajit Agarkar announced the Indian cricket team for the forthcoming two-Test series against West Indies, on Thursday (September 25, 2025).
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was named the vice captain for the team led by Shubman Gill.
As Rishabh Pant was injured during the England series, Dhruv Jurel has been called in as the main wicket-keeper.
Tamil Nadu’s N. Jagadeesan was named as the second wicket-keeper.
Karun Nair, who had a disastrous England series, was dropped from the squad. Devdutt Padikkal was named as his replacement.
The selectors otherwise retained the core team that toured England.
