Perplexity AI browser Comet now available to Pro users in India

Perplexity’s AI browser Comet is now available to Pro plan subscribers in India. With it users will be able to book meetings, send emails and make online purchases. 

While Android users can pre-order the app from the Play Store, the desktop version has already launched for macOS and Windows, CEO Aravind Srinivas said in a LinkedIn post. 

Besides Perplexity Max and Pro subscribers, invite-only users who signed up earlier for the waitlist will have access to the AI browser. 

Comet was launched earlier in July this year just to Perplexity Max subscribers initially. 

A couple of months ago, Perplexity AI partnered with Airtel to offer a year’s complimentary subscription to Perplexity Pro. Then, in August, the AI startup introduced another tier called Comet Pro which includes revenue-sharing with participating publishers at $5 a month for users.
