Simran rarely shares her opinions on films publicly, but her recent praise for her favorite star Rajinikanth has been making waves on social media.
Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, bankrolled by Sun Pictures and featuring an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Rachita Ram, and Shruti Haasan, hit screens on August 14 to mixed reviews. Many critics pointed out writing inconsistencies as one of the film’s major shortcomings. However, despite the divided response, the Rajinikanth starrer has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in the domestic market within just six days of its release, according to trade tracker Sacnilk. With a worldwide collection of over Rs 400 crore, Coolie has also emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year.
